If you’re anything like me, you probably feel like your children are growing up WAY too fast, am I right? Well don’t worry too much--I’m here to make your child’s senior photo session easy peasy so you can celebrate this time with them and have a beautiful keepsake to enjoy for years to come!
Below I will walk you through your child’s senior photo session step-by-step so you can arrive prepared for their photoshoot and enjoy this special moment with confidence, ease, and pride.
When Should I Schedule a Senior Photo Session?
Senior photo sessions can take place anytime! I typically request at least a few weeks’ notice prior to your session, however you are welcome to reach out to me anytime to check my availability for your preferred day and time. Please keep in mind that the editing process can take about 5-7 days in total once you make your photo selections, so I recommend factoring this into your planning to meet school and yearbook deadlines.

What Should I Wear for My Senior Photos?
I recommend wearing something that shows your unique personality, while also being something you’ll enjoy later in life! Senior photos are an amazing keepsake throughout life!
Things to think about when planning your look:
Do the colors go well together? Try to select an outfit or two that coordinate well so you stand out from your surroundings, but you don’t clash with them.
Do you have any patterns on your clothing? If so, maybe ditch it for something pattern-free or with minimal pattern! Sometimes patterns can be distracting to the eye.
What backdrop will you have? Be sure your outfits don’t clash too much with your backdrop and any props you plan on using.
What are your plans for your hair/makeup? If you’d like your hair and makeup done professionally, I can recommend some great vendors for you in the Colorado Springs area! If you don’t plan to have your hair or makeup done professionally, I’d recommend looking on Google or Pinterest for inspiration so you know what your plan is the day of your photo session when you get ready.
How Long Do Senior Photo Sessions Take?
Senior photo sessions usually take about 1-2 hours depending on the number of outfit changes you do, the location(s) of your photoshoot, and the package you choose! I will be able to give you a more precise estimate once I have additional details about your specific session.
What Locations Do You Recommend for Senior Photos?
My senior photo sessions are most often done around the beautiful Colorado Springs, Colorado area. I have some favorite locations, but I know that some locations will hold a special place in your heart, so I’m happy to discuss additional locations as well!

If you opt to have your senior photo session take place in my Colorado Springs home photography studio, you’ll have access to a variety of backdrops.
Should I Bring Anything to My Senior Photo Session?
Simply bring a smile, that winning personality, your outfit(s), and any meaningful props you’d like to include. I’ll take care of the rest!
I’m a Little Nervous… Will You Help Me With Poses?
There’s no need to be nervous! I’m here to make this process easy and, most importantly, FUN! I’ll help you with both posed and candid shots so you leave your photoshoot feeling confident, excited, and relaxed! I promise you’ll love your photos!
How and When Will My Photos Be Delivered?
You will receive a digital album of your photo proofs within 24 hours of your session. Once you receive the proofs, you will select your favorite photos to be edited, and once your selections are made I will get to work editing them to perfection for you! You will receive final edits of your selected photos as soon as they’re finished--this usually takes 5-7 business days.
Do You Offer Photo Prints and Albums For Purchase?
Yes! I recommend using my print lab for your photo prints and albums as not every print service is created equal. I stand behind the quality and color matching you’ll get with my print lab, and I know you’ll be thrilled with the quality of your images and albums.
I will provide information upon delivery of your digital album as to how you can order prints and albums of your senior photos!
How Can I Use My Photos?
Your senior photos are for you to use however you’d like! Share them with family and friends, share them on social media, order prints, canvases, & albums, and most importantly, cherish them forever!
