1. Garden of the Gods
I'm sure there's no surprise that Garden of the Gods is the first location on this list. This incredible area boasts beautiful, vibrant red sandstone foundations against a backdrop of the world-famous Rocky Mountains and Pikes Peak.
This location is beautiful year-round, weather permitting. Garden of the Gods is located off exit #146 about 2.5 miles West of I-25 in Colorado Springs.
2. Mesa Overlook
This roadside overlook offers another view of Garden of the Gods from outside the park, but don't be fooled--the view from this small, unassuming lot is absolutely stunning! With the familiar red sandstone formations against the Front Range, getting breathtaking photos from this location is to be expected.
Mesa Overlook is beautiful year-round and is accessible during all seasons, depending on the road conditions. You'll find Mesa Overlook on Mesa Rd. off exit #146 about 2.5 miles West of I-25 in Colorado Springs. The overlook is located just a short distance North of the Garden of the Gods Visitor Center.
3. Bear Creek Regional Park
Bear Creek Regional Park is a 545 acre recreational park within Colorado Springs city limits that offers 10 miles of trails which wind through the lovely, lush setting. This is a wonderful place for family and senior portraits.
Bear Creek Regional Park is a particularly nice location when there is foliage on the trees as the trees lining the trails are lush and beautiful. I would suggest considering this location for sessions from Spring to early Fall. Bear Creek Regional Park is located just Southwest of exit #141 on I-25 in Colorado Springs.
4. Ute Valley Park
Ute Valley Park is a destination for hikers, mountain bikers, and runners alike with its extensive trail system and beautiful vistas and geological features. This beautiful area is easily accessible and would be a lovely location for your next family or senior portrait session.
This area is beautiful and accessible year-round, weather permitting. You can find Ute Valley Park on Vindicator Drive just West of I-25 in Colorado Springs.
5. Monument Valley Park
Monument Valley Park is a 153 acre park located in Colorado Springs that offers lots of green space, as well as extensive hiking and biking trails and access to the Pikes Peak Greenway Trail.
This location is easily accessible all year round (weather permitting) for family, senior, and children photo sessions. You can find Monument Valley Park at the corner of Mesa Rd. and N. Cache La Poudre Street in Colorado Springs.
6. Fox Run Regional Park
Fox Run Regional Park is a calming and lush environment with beautiful photo opportunities including a thick forest of Ponderosa Pines, Aspen and Spruce lakes, and a backdrop of Pikes Peak and the Front Range. This location is beautiful and full of opportunity for any photo session you'd like!
With it's convenient location on Stella Dr. just East of I-25 in Colorado Springs, this park is a wonderful choice for your next photoshoot.
7. Fountain Creek Regional Park
Fountain Creek Regional Park is a 460 acre park located between the cities of Colorado Springs and Fountain, CO. This lovely area includes Hanson Nature Park, Willow Springs Ponds, and a wonderful creekside trail, all of which offer great opportunities for your beautiful outdoor photo session. Set against the backdrop of the Rocky Mountain Front Range, you'll love this location year-round.
Fountain Creek Regional Park is located just off I-25 and exit #132A on Duckwood Road in Fountain, CO.
