Photography session with a cat. Most people don’t think to do something like this. When the cats owner contacted me, he told me he wanted to do a session with his cat. He went on to tell me how his wife was deployed and his wife was really missing the cat and how much she would love some photos of him. Pet Photography is something that most families don’t think to do. Pets are part of the family, why not take some photos with them!
I have done pet photography in the past but nothing was as much fun as this session. We were both laughing pretty hard. The cat had a personality all his own.
We dressed the cat in hats, pants and yes, even attempted to wrap him up like a baby, however, he was not a big fan of that. He loved to be held by his owner and of course be left alone. It’s funny, I grew up around animals my whole life and never had a pet cat. Cats and Dogs are so very different. Cats like to explore and yet be left alone. Dogs, jus want attention all the time.
I believe he is just wanting to take a nap here.
Yes, we put pants on this cat, and he even smiled for the camera.
When the owner and the cat give the same face, its truly priceless!
I mean, this is how a cat photoshoot should go right? Just like this?
And then we put the cat in pants and in a wheel barrow.
If you are not laughing at these photos by now, you should be. I believe this the look of “I am done.”
I think, attempting to pose here, thinking if he did he would be done.
And then we say “cheese” and smile.
And then its a photo of the cat starring right into your soul and your both wondering if this is over.
Its the simplicity that really makes me laugh
